A small aircraft landed in a soccer field at a public park in Long Beach on Tuesday, prompting a response from emergency crews.

The aircraft landed at Heartwell Park near Clark Avenue, according to law enforcement.

Footage from NewsChopper4 showed the small, two-seated aircraft in the middle of the park’s soccer field. Several feet away, it appears a piece of the aircraft broke off.

It’s unclear how many people were aboard the small plane. Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.

Injuries connected with the crash were not immediately reported.
