BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- One of the two men accused of chasing three sisters, resulting in the death of two, has been newly charged with two counts of second-degree murder on Tuesday.
Kern County Superior Court Judge Tiffany Organ-Bowles granted the prosecution's motion to amend the complaint.
Defense attorney Mark Anthony Raimondo entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Tevin Brandt.
Brandt was previously charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and two counts of reckless driving causing injury.
Brandt and his co-defendant Gustavo Montoya are accused of mistakenly believing three sisters were in possession of Brandt's phone, after they used a device to track down the phone's location. Montoya was an Uber driver who agreed to help Brandt find his phone
