BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day of the week as the ridging pattern over much of the southwest and California continues through the afternoon.

On Tuesday night, we expect a significant shift in the pattern, as a weak cut-off low is forecasted to come on shore during the nighttime hours tuesday evening. It will move through the state throughout Wednesday and exit by early Thursday morning.
