The New York Giants waived kicker Jude McAtamney on Tuesday after he missed two extra points during Sunday’s improbable 33-32 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The Giants went into the fourth quarter with a 19-0 lead, yet lost when the Broncos scored 33 points over the final 14:08 of the contest.

McAtamney first missed an extra point in the second quarter. That led to the Giants going for a two-point conversion in the third quarter that was unsuccessful. McAtamney missed another extra point with 37 seconds remaining that kept New York’s lead at 32-30.

The Broncos then drove 56 yards in 31 seconds and won the game on the final play with a 39-yard field goal from Wil Lutz.
