TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A data center on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base could be a possibility.
The Air Force is considering it by requesting proposals to lease 300 acres that it considers to be underutilized.
It’s part of the president’s vision of a golden age for the country’s technological dominance.
Davis-Monthan is one of five installations listed in the request for lease proposals from the Air Force that is offering to lease land for artificial intelligence data centers, as opposition to a well-known project in Pima County continues.
“Everyone is here to say no to Project Blue,” said Vivek Bharathan, member of the No Desert Data Center Coalition , as he stood outside the chambers of the Pima County Board of Supervisors.
