VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) -- The holidays are just around the corner which means Vermilion County's ‘Toys for Tots’ is getting ready for the season. This year, they have a new coordinator.

Gabi Ingold is looking forward to her new role helping collect toys and donations so kids in the area can have presents under the tree. She said she has big shoes to fill after her sister-in-law, the former coordinator, passed away earlier this year.

“It was really tough knowing that Megan did such a good job,” Ingold said. “And for me, wanting to do at least as good a job. And I want to make them proud. I've been helping for the last six years, so that kind of it came natural that I kind of stepped into that leadership role.”
