APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - The Appleton International Airport is expecting an increase in activity during the holidays this year.
The airport has added several warm weather destinations including Gulf Shores, Alabama, Orlando, and Fort Myers, Florida.
The Thanksgiving travel season is predicted to be the busiest time of the year. Travel during that time last year was record-breaking for the airport.
Officials say they’re already seeing more passengers this year, compared to 2024.
“It’s exciting for our airport team to see more and more passengers, more and more community is choosing to fly out of Appleton airport. It’s a recognition of our hard work making the travel journey faster and easier and more convenient,” said Abe Weber, Airport Director of Appleton International Airport.
