JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown womens volleyball team was swept in straight sets by the Northern State on Tuesday night at the Harold Newman Arena.
The Jimmies are slated to go on the road to the Taylor Center in Mankato, Minnesota to take on the Minnesota State on Oct. 24. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The Wolves took control early, hitting .400. An early block by Northern State's Schroeder and Brooks established the defensive presence. Despite a kill from Corbyn Menz and a kill from Caroline Puetz, the Jimmies were unable to close the gap.
Set No. 2 featured four ties. The Jimmies briefly took a 2-1 lead after a kill by Menz but the Wolves responded with dominant hitting at .440. Menz continued to be a bright spot for the Jimmies with multiple kills. A late block by Add
