Cody Hibbard never planned on becoming a musician. Born in Seoul, South Korea, and adopted as a baby, he grew up in Adair surrounded by cattle.

“I was adopted when I was 13 months old,” Hibbard said. “We lived here in Tulsa for the first year of my life and then moved out on the farm. Adair was what you’d expect, farmland, cattle land, a lot of hunting, a lot of work and a real quiet life.”

That work ethic carried into adulthood. Hibbard found work in the oil and gas industry, spending years traveling and welding pipelines.

Music at 27

Music wasn’t even on his radar until his late twenties.
