The Hendersonville Police Department has identified a suspect in a fatal shooting last week and has warrants out for their arrest.

They are charged with voluntary manslaughter and juvenile possession of a firearm, a city of Hendersonville spokesperson told the Times-News in an Oct. 21 email.

Authorities are not releasing their name or other identifying information because the suspect is a child, according to an Oct. 21 City of Hendersonville news release.

The suspect’s family is cooperating with investigators to encourage the suspect to surrender to police, the release says.

Justin Alan Davis, 29, was apparently shot in the head Oct. 17 outside a house in Hendersonville’s Green Meadows neighborhood, the Times-New previously reported.

Police received multiple 911 calls at around 8 p.
