HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A water main break has prompted road closures on Dole St., between University Ave. and St. Louis Dr.

An HNL Alert from the Board of Water Supply was issued on Tuesday at 4:20 p.m.

Crews are currently responding to a possible 20-inch water main break, fronting Kanewai Community Park by the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The following traffic modifications are in effect:

East-bound traffic on Dole St. is closed from University Ave. to St. Louis.

West-bound traffic on Dole St. is closed from St. Louis Dr. to the Hawaiian Studies building.

Motorists are advised to please avoid the area if possible and to use alternate routes.

Due to the break, residents from Punchbowl TO Kaimuki may be experiencing low pressure to no water service.
