What a way to start the new NBA season. Double overtime win by the Oklahoma City Thunder. That’s how it’s done. Even before the game, the animosity between the two teams was already at an all-time high. Much of it is due to Kevin Durant’s presence. The former Thunder star started the hostilities, booing fans on OKC’s banner night.

The game was close right from the start. Both teams were trading baskets early, and the score was close by halftime. The second half was even more intense. The Rockets cooled down a bit, and OKC’s shots finally started to fall.

At the end of the regulation, the game was tied and went to overtime. After ending again in a tie, the contest went to a second overtime, with the Thunder coming out on top, 125-124. Durant fouled out in the second OT and was not present
