An Aspen official said the passage or failure of ballot question 2B could determine if the city will have to shelve part of the Lumberyard housing project. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2026. Jason Charme/Aspen Daily News
Ballot question 2B in Aspen would issue up to $70 million in debt financing to go toward the Lumberyard affordable housing project.

The city’s maximum repayment for the $70 million bond would not exceed $152.5 million.
