Puri: In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old boy died after allegedly being hit by a speeding train while filming a video at Janakadeipur railway station in Odisha’s Puri district.

As per sources, the incident took place on the railway tracks close to Chandanpur police station in the district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Biswajeet Sahu, aged around 15 years and a resident of Manglaghat. ADVERTISEMENT

The boy, a resident of Manglaghat, had accompanied his mother to the Dakshinakali temple. While returning home, he stopped close to the railway line at Janakadeipur station and started recording a short video when the approaching train hit him.

On being informed, Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the body and sent it for post mortem.
