Kota Ibushi has been released from the hospital, he announced on social media Tuesday night. Ibushi had been hospitalized for the last two weeks after suffering a broken femur during an AEW Collision match that aired on October 11.
In his post, Ibushi took time to thank the medical staff, AEW President Tony Khan, Kenny Omega, Michael Nakazawa, and the fans for their help and support during his stay. The injury occurred when Ibushi was on the shoulders of Josh Alexander on the top rope.
Ibushi fell from the position and crashed-landed on the floor outside the ring, resulting in a broken femur. He lost the match via count-out and was eventually stretchered out following an angle involving the Don Callis Family.
