Hackettstown (11-5) led 1-0 at halftime before adding another goal in the second half.

Jamie Ponce had an assist, while Shay Patel made eight saves for the clean sheet.

Hackettstown won seven of its last nine games and snapped Newton’s four-game unbeaten streak.

Jack Boffa (five) and Anthony Romeo (three) combined to make eight saves for Newton (7-8-1).
