WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Waterbury officials say some of the nearly 30 students aboard a school bus that made a sudden stop Tuesday were evaluated by medical professionals, but no injuries were reported.
Waterbury Public Schools officials said the bus had to make a sudden stop to avoid an accident in the area of East Main Street and Austin Road.
Fire department officials estimated about 27 students on board at the time.
Afterward, some students were evaluated at a hospital and some released directly to their parents, school officials said.
Waterbury police said there were no apparent injuries but some of the students were evaluated at the request of their parents.
