A dog who arrived at an Edinburgh rescue centre 'covered in wounds and white paint' is looking for a home by Christmas .

Niall came to the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home 'very skinny', and according to staff is still learning to trust new people. Niall, a 2-year-old Doberman Cross, is a sizable pup who 'thinks he's a lap dog'.

He need an experienced owner with their own garden , and someone who is willing to 'show him love at his own pace'.

The circumstances around how Niall came to be at the rescue centre are unclear, though he was 'unsure of the world around him' when he arrived'.
