Three Brantford Black Eye Boxing Club members competed at the provincial championship in Windsor recently, winning three medals.

Ava Fenton led the way with a gold-medal performance. Kaiden ‘Killer’ Scott won silver and Vinny Rowe captured bronze.

Fenton will travel to British Columbia on Nov. 8 to compete on a pro-am card.

A Swiss Chess Tournament hosted by White Knight Chess Promotions will take place on Oct. 26 from noon to 5 p.m. at Paris Beer Company.

The cost is $25 per person. Check in will take place at 11:30 a.m.

The event is hoping to have to chess masters, including one candidate, at the event.
