: Villagers of Lapangap in West Jaintia Hills on Wednesday resumed paddy harvesting in their fields, nearly two weeks after violent clashes with Karbi villagers from Tahpat in West Karbi Anglong on October 9, which resulted in the death of one person.

Before heading to the paddy fields at Pynthor Lapangap, villagers assembled near the village football field to await the outcome of a dialogue held at Khanduli between officials and leaders from both sides including representatives of West Jaintia Hills and Lapangap Village and those of West Karbi Anglong District and Tahpat Village.
