FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) — Frankfort police are investigating after Ku Klux Klan propaganda was found littered around parts of the community overnight.

In a statement on social, the department called it an “appalling act of littering” and said it does not tolerate hate in any form.

Police said the materials violate the values of the Frankfort community and that the department is taking the matter “very seriously.”

Investigators are asking for the public’s help. Anyone who lives in an area where the propaganda was found and has security or doorbell camera footage is asked to contact the department’s non-emergency line at 502-875-8582.

Police say reviewing any relevant footage could help them identify those responsible.
