Police Wednesday are continuing their investigation of a shooting near downtown Long Beach that left one man wounded.
Long Beach Police Department officers responded at approximately 6:48 p.m. Monday to the 600 block of Olive Avenue, north of East Sixth Street regarding a shooting, according to the police department.
When they arrived at the scene, officers found the victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to a hospital by Long Beach Fire personnel, police said.
Police later found the suspect and took her into custody on suspicion of shooting the victim. They also recovered a firearm during the arrest, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and a possible motive are unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
