DENVER (KDVR) — Olde Town Arvada now has a "designated drinking area," which is an area where people can walk around with alcohol, with a few exceptions.
On Oct. 15, the Olde Town Arvada Business Improvement District announced that the city approved a designated drinking area, where people can openly drink in the pedestrian-only areas of Olde Town Arvada. However, the alcohol can't come from anywhere.
Olde Town Arvada Business Improvement District said the alcohol must come from eligible liquor licensed businesses in the area, which will serve drinks in a container with a QR code that shows it's a designated "takeout beverage." That means that people can't drink their own alcohol or alcohol purchased from a retail store in the area.
