The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is asking the public to keep an eye out for an exotic lizard species that has been spotted a few times in the state.
DNR officials say the presence of Mediterranean geckos has been conveyed to the agency in recent years in photograph-backed reports.
"Most involve a small number arriving as hitchhikers on shipments," the DNR said in a news release.
