A suburban Chicago teen has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a frightening crash on a Chicago-area expressway last week.
Jordan Jerome Jeffery, 18, of Waukegan, died of "blunt force injuries" due to a motorcycle crash on Interstate 294, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. on the expressway west of Wolfe Road in Franklin Park Thursday.
There, police said two vehicles, a Mercedes Sprinter and a freightliner truck-tractor, were traveling slowly "due to heavy traffic congestion." A Kawasaki motorcycle weaving in between lanes of traffic lost control and struck the Mercedes Sprinter from behind, according to state police.
