EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Deputies say they seized more than 1,000 fentanyl pills, more than 50 grams of ecstasy, and several other drugs after pulling over a stolen car early Tuesday morning.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, an eagle-eyed patrol sergeant spotted the vehicle at 3:20 a.m. driving east on Highway 24 near Peterson Road.
“The vehicle was followed, and other units were asked to assist in making contact,” the sheriff’s office said.
The car made its way into Colorado Springs. At Boulder Street and Union Boulevard, the car stopped, and the patrol vehicles closed in around it to prevent the occupants from fleeing. Despite being cornered, EPSO says the driver attempted to make a run for it.
