Wammes cycling at track worlds

Bothwell’s Nick Wammes is competing this week with Canada’s national team at the Union Cycliste Internationale’s track world championships in Santiago, Chile.

The two-time Olympian is scheduled to race in the men’s keirin, sprint and team sprint.

Wammes is back at the 2023 Pan American Games venue where he won gold in the team sprint with James Hedgcock of Ancaster, Ont., and Tyler Rorke of Baden, Ont., and also placed fourth in the individual sprint.
