RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. —

Two men were arrested for stealing cattle and selling them for profit, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said they got a report from Chatham County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 17 about cattle being stolen from Royal Ridge Rd and later sold at the stockyard in Chatham County.

Following an investigation, charges were sought against Randall Ray Burgess, 34, and Zachary Banks Todd, 44, for felony larceny of cattle, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrant.

On Oct. 21 both were located, arrested, and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center, where they were served their warrants.

The magistrate issued Burgess a $20,000 secured bond.
