BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) - Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit was named earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week by the National Football League on Wednesday.

Delpit helped lead the Browns to a 31-6 victory over the Miami Dolphins in week 7.

He forced a fumble on kickoff in the second quarter and later in the fourth quarter came free on a blitz and recorded a QB hit, which forced an errant throw that was intercepted by Rayshawn Jenkins.

Delpit finished the game with two special teams tackles and one forced fumble and added two tackles and a sack on defense.

It is Delpit's first career weekly award.

Browns kicker Andre Szmyt was named AFC Special Team Player of the Week for his efforts in week three of the season.
