LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian.

According to LVMPD, around 6:16 a.m., a car struck a pedestrian on Vegas Valley Drive near Eastern and Sahara Avenues.

According to FOX5 crews on scene, CCSD police assisted with the response. A red car was seen with its front windshield smashed in.

Las Vegas police said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver remained on scene. Officials do not suspect impairment was a factor at this time.
