MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A new report from New Hampshire Housing shows that the median-priced single-family home in the state is out of reach of most Granite Staters.

The report shows that a family would need to earn $182,000 per year to afford a median-priced single-family home, but just 15% of New Hampshire households earn that much.

Several lawmakers met with housing advocates Wednesday to find out how costs are affecting New Hampshire communities. Elected officials at the meeting said it's important to hear from the people who are affected by their decisions, and the organizations said the housing crisis doesn't discriminate.
