LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police reportedly found no evidence of a mountain lion at North Central Park after conducting a search following reports of a possible sighting.

The search was conducted on Tuesday night, October 21, and involved officers, state game wardens and drone operators who flew across the park and surrounding areas. However, no tracks, signs of the animal or witnesses were found, police said on Wednesday, October 23.

The initial reports came shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday when District 6 Councilmember Dr. Tyler King posted a warning on social media about a possible mountain lion sighting at North Central Park.

King said a constituent sent him a video that appeared to show a mountain lion walking through the park, noting that he posted the warning as a precaution.
