KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Wednesday morning, the superintendent of Liberty Public Schools, Dr. M. Jeremy Tucker, announced he will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year, leaving behind a 12-year career in the district and 30 years as a public educator.

"Serving as your superintendent has been an honor and a privilege," Tucker said. "The LPS community has been truly incredible and so supportive to our family since we first arrived here. The future is bright for Liberty Public Schools, and I couldn't be more proud of our district."

On July 1, 2014, Tucker was selected as Liberty's superintendent. He previously worked in the Logan-Rogersville R-VIII School District for 15 years as a teacher, coach and principal, as well as superintendent for six years.
