As we enter the final stages of October, the girls’ golf season comes to an end. The State Tournament was held earlier this week, and the Lady Spartans had one representative in junior Kelsey Shull. She got into the State tournament, after not being projected to make it, with a strong performance at Regionals that saw her place 20th, shooting 118 to secure her spot at State.
The two-day State tournament was held early this week, on Oct. 20 and 21, and Shull came in looking to continue a good season. Shull would play her round, shooting 108, which would be her career best round, both overall and at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course this season. This round would place her in 64th place, missing the cut to advance to the next round of the tournament.
