SAN FRANCISCO —
More than 100 federal agents from multiple agencies are heading to the Bay Area in what is expected to be a major immigration operation, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday .
This follows a trend of the National Guard being deployed to assist immigration agents with their operations, such as Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Memphis and Portland. The latest city President Donald Trump has suggested is San Francisco.
However, Gov. Gavin Newsom recently threatened to sue the Trump administration if the National Guard is sent to the Bay Area. And he's stated that the Guard's presence in Los Angeles has cost taxpayers $120 million.
