LOUDON, Tenn. — UPDATE (10/23): The Loudon Utilities Board said the Boil Water Advisory was over "effective immediately" on Wednesday after a large water main break the day before.

PREVIOUS STORY: Parts of the city of Loudon are under a 24-hour boil water advisory after a "large" water main break, according to the Loudon Utilities Board.

LUB said the water system was shut down because the failure carries a high risk that fecal contamination or other "disease-causing organisms" could enter the system. The board said the conditions caused by the failure could pose an imminent and substantial health endangerment to the people using the system.
