HHSA is reminding families and drivers to make safety a priority as Halloween approaches due to increased foot traffic and reduced visibility.
It's important for drivers to slow down and stay alert in residential neighborhoods, intersections and when entering or exiting driveways. Drivers should avoid distractions such as cell phones and never drive under the influence, HHSA detailed.
For chaperones, HHSA said it's important that costumes fit properly to prevent any tripping or falling. Adding reflective tape to costumes, bags and bicycles can help increase visibility
