(FOX40.COM) — The former Executive Director of Creative Child Care Inc. was arrested on Wednesday after embezzling funds during her employment from January 2023 through September 2024.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation in September 2024 after hearing from the San Joaquin County Office of Education that a local Head Start program could be embezzling money.

Deputies found that the Executive Director, Cecilia Edith Warren, embezzled approximately $487,000. She was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

She faces two counts of grand theft and two counts of embezzlement.
