ALBANY, Ore. – A 42-year-old Springfield man died Saturday following a traffic crash involving two motorcycles near Albany, according to the Oregon State Police.

OSP officials said they responded at 11:40 a.m. on Oct. 18 to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 234. A preliminary investigation determined that Joshua David Moore was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound when he lost control after slowing for traffic, state police said. Authorities said Moore laid his bike down in his lane of travel and was struck by another northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a 60-year-old Eugene man who was unable to avoid the collision.
