CHURCHILL COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - A man police say is wanted for multiple alleged crimes nationwide lead police on a pursuit through Churchill County.
Just before 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch broadcast that units from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office and Walker River Tribal Police were in pursuit of an unregistered black Corvette that was about to enter Churchill County at a high rate of speed.
Police say the suspect, 19-year-old Joshua James Olsen, was driving at speeds well over 100 miles an hour. They say Olsen then continued north on Schurz Highway and avoided spikes deployed by the Fallon Police Department around Drumm Lane.
Olsen allegedly continued north at speeds estimated at around 130 miles an hour and ran a red light.
