RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Police Department says it has arrested two people and seized nearly two pounds of fentanyl as well as two guns during a traffic stop on I-80 and Robb.

A months-long investigation into 28-year-old Abel Rivas-Diaz and 31-year-old Monica Gasca concluded during the Tuesday traffic stop.

During the stop, police say they located around 685 grams of fentanyl and the two guns inside the suspect vehicle.

A search of their home in the area of Greenbrae and Sullivan also allegedly uncovered an additional 199 grams of fentanyl.

In total, police recovered 884 grams of fentanyl with an estimated street value of more than $176,000. They say the drugs also equated to roughly 442,460 lethal doses.
