RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Court documents are shedding new light on the arrest of former RPD Deputy Chief Thomas Robinson.

According to a probable cause report obtained by KOLO 8 News Now, an officer with the Washoe County School District Police Department posted an online ad on a known prostitution website of someone purporting to be a 19-year-old.

Court documents allege that just after 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 15, Robinson sent a message to the officer asking what the rate is for sex.

Robinson then allegedly texted the officer the next day. At that point, the officer told Robinson that the purported prostitute was 17 years old, rather than the 19 advertised.

According to the documents, Robinson still told the officer he would text back after a 2:00 p.m. meeting.
