AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - Charges have been filed against a Monroe County man who is accused of murdering a 23-year-old Audrain County man.

Court documents show Charles Armour, 19, was charged with 1st degree murder, 1st degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.

Armour is due in court Thursday for a docket hearing.

On Tuesday, KOMU reported Armour was connected to the homicide when he was 17. This week, Armour was officially charged as an adult.

They reported Armour was charged alongside an Audrain County man for the 2023 murder of Matthew Stewart, age 23, of Vandalia, Mo.

Court documents show police found Stewart unconscious with gunshot wounds to the head and torso alongside the road.
