The Scottsdale City Council has approved a plan to increase compensation for staff in police communications and water operations and maintenance.
The City Council unanimously approved the consent agenda at the Oct. 21 meeting, which included market-based compensation adjustments aimed at reducing chronic vacancies among the city’s police dispatchers and water operations staff.
These adjustments are designed to help Scottsdale remain competitive in recruiting and retaining highly skilled professionals who are vital to the city’s safety and daily operations, according to a press release.
