Phoenix Police arrested 22-year-old Thomas Giorlando Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the 8200 E. Elm Drive, in Scottsdale, for alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.

The investigation began on Oct. 21, when a Scottsdale detective from the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit received a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip in reference to child sexual abuse material being uploaded onto an online platform, according to a press release from the Scottsdale Police Department.

Using the information provided in the tip, a male subject identified as Thomas Giorlando was identified. Based on data obtained from the tip, an investigation was launched, which confirmed that Giorlando was actively seeking out and had uploaded child sexual abuse material, according to the release.
