Paradise Valley council members are asking why a curb replacement project along part of McDonald Drive and 45th Street, which has been in the discussion phase since January, has not moved forward and costs have increased.
The curb replacements on McDonald Drive would run from 40th to 44th streets, and on 45th Street from McDonald Drive to Valley Vista Lane.
The total estimated design and construction costs for both stand at $994,000. The project was budgeted at $766,000 in the town’s current fiscal year budget.
Council was first presented with the project in January, with construction set to start in November. Under the new timeline, construction isn’t scheduled to start until February if council first approves a construction contract.
