If it’s an October Wednesday, it must be a college football night.

Such is life for Delaware now, as Conference USA membership includes a month of weeknight games, aimed at increasing the league’s and its schools’ national exposure through TV coverage.

Those opportunities to earn media rights income and introduce the university to a larger audience were among the attractions when it was announced in late 2023 that Delaware would join CUSA this year.

Delaware (3-3 overall, 1-2 CUSA) will get more of that on Oct. 22 when Middle Tennessee State (1-5, 0-3) visits the Blue Hens.
