Gucci Mane is detailing his mental health journey.
After the rapper revealed in his Oct. 14 book Episodes: The Diary of a Recovering Mad Man that he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, he reflected on a 2020 mental health episode that prompted him to seek help.
“After that, I was like, ‘Man, I got to really just hold myself accountable and take care of my health,’” Gucci Mane, 45, said on the Oct. 20 episode of The Breakfast Club . “I don’t never want to have an episode again. I’m gonna see a therapist, [even] if I have to take medicine.”
He added, “I kinda threw the towel in. [Whatever] I need to do to get better. I just didn’t ever want to have that happen again.”
