Evan Holm is a reluctant recipient to the recent attention regarding his play.

“I am not the biggest fan of (doing) media,” the Blue Bombers halfback said. “I don’t like cameras and stuff. I am not the biggest fan of cameras … It is cool and it is an honour to recognized, but not my vibe, I guess.”

“That is not a shock,” Blue Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea added when asked about Holm’s preference for privacy. “He is a terrific human being and an even better teammate, if that is possible.”

Holm was nominated as the Bombers’ 2025 representative for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player award.

Bombers defensive back and special teams ace Trey Vaval had no qualms about showering his mentor with praise.

“Holm (is the) best halfback in the CFL,” Vaval said. “I love watching him play.
