Diane Lane has described her late co-star Robin Williams as “more than a breath of fresh air”.

While reflecting on their time together making the 1996 film Jack, the 60-year-old actress spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her bond with the tragic comic and actor in video filmed at the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors, where she received the ICON Award.

When Diane was asked about her memories of Jack, which will mark its 30th anniversary next year, she said: “The man was a breath of, more than fresh air.

“He set the bar so high in terms of good energy.”

The Anniversary star also recalled the personal wrap gift Williams gave her when production ended.

She added: “It was a book of all of Shakespeare’s writings that he’d signed.
